Mini-symposium on Nanomechanical Characterization and Size Dependent Mechanical Properties at MS&T06

Dear colleagues:

The MS&T06 will be held during October 15-19, 2006, in Cincinnati, OH, USA. We would like to invite you and your colleagues to contribute presentations to the Mini-symposium on Nanomechanical Characterization and Size Dependent Mechanical Properties at this meeting.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Nanoindentation deformation and fracture
Nanotribology
Residual stress measurements at reduced scales
Fatigue at small size scales
Mechanical reliability testing of nanostructures and devices
Nanomechanical testing at high temperatures
Nanomechanical instrumentation development and challenges
Size-dependent effect mechanisms
Modeling of nanoscale deformation, fracture and grain boundary rotation

The deadline to submit your abstract is March 15, 2006

To submit an abstract, please go to this website.

Sincerely Yours,

Dr. Xiaodong "Chris" Li, Associate Professor
