Seventh World Congress on Computational Mechanics

A message from Wing Kam Liu, General Chairman.

The preparations of The Seventh World Congress on Computational Mechanics are proceeding on schedule. We have received very enthusiastic responses to the call for abstracts, and we
appreciate your contributions to the congress. Please take note of the following six (6) reminders:

(1) CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The deadline of abstracts submission is March 15, 2006.

(2) EARLY REGISTRATION:
The Early Registration deadline for WCCM-VII, February 15, 2006, is approaching. You are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the reduced early registration fee.

(3) ACCOMMODATION
A block of rooms are available at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel at a special WCCM-VII Congress rate. Please book the rooms as soon as possible. Mention the code "World Congress on Computational Mechanics" to receive our special room rate.

(4) PLENARY AND SEMI-PLENARY LECTURERS
A list of topics to be given by plenary and semi-plenary lecturers is now available on the web.

(5) SHORT COURSES
This year's event features two short courses:

"Multiscale Computational Methods and Applications" on Sunday, July 16, 2006.

"Level Set Methods and Dynamic Implicit Surfaces" on Saturday, July 22, 2006.

(6) VISA APPLICATION LETTERS
Please remind us that if you require a visa to enter the United States, we can issue a formal invitation letter to the U.S. Consulate office where authors live. The authors must request this letter in writing to: wccm2006@northwestern.edu . The authors must specify to whom and where the letter should be mailed or faxed. Authors MUST be registered for the conference and the fees must be paid in full to receive consideration.
